Hot René is no misnomer. It really is the hottest sausage stand in town. In addition to a particularly good range of sausages (N.B. René does not buy them in the supermarket but from selected butchers, and he simmers them in beef stock), a vast array of super-spicy chili mixes is also available. Late at night, the punters like to one-up each other. Who makes it all the way to the sausage stand equivalent of vindaloo? The chili contest makes both contestants and onlookers tear up.
